Enjoy Your Stay: 5 Things To Ask For When You Stay In A Hotel

If you have plans to stay in a hotel, make the most of the experience. Staying in a hotel can be a great way to relax and unwind. If you're going away on business, you might not plan to get much relaxation. That doesn't need to be the case. In fact, depending on what you ask for, you can turn your business trip into a relaxing getaway. Here are five things that will make your hotel stay more relaxing.

Escape the Basic View

If you're going to stay in a hotel, you want to enjoy the view. If you're like most people, you might think you're stuck with the room you're offered. Luckily, that's not the case. When you make your hotel reservations, you can ask for a room with a view. That way, you'll have something nice to see when you look out the windows. This can be especially enjoyable when you're staying near the ocean. Or, when you're staying in a big city.

Sleep in for a Change

If you're scheduled for late meetings, you don't want to wake up early for check-out time. One way to avoid the early start is to request a late check-out. You might not know this, but you don't always need to stick to the mandatory check-out time when you stay in a hotel. When you make your reservations, ask for a late check-out. They'll make a note on your reservation. That way, you can sleep in. This option is also great when you're traveling with children. It's not always easy to get your kids up and moving when you're on a tight schedule.

Get Some Extra Bedding

If you want different bedding in your hotel, it's time to make special arrangements. You can ask for extras. Most hotels will provide you with extra pillows and blankets. If you have allergies, you can even ask for hypoallergenic bedding. That way, your allergies don't act up during your hotel stay.

Enjoy a Bottled Water

If you don't like to drink tap water, your hotel can help. You might not know this, but many hotels will provide bottled water for their guests. Some hotels even offer late-night snacks in the lobby. But, you do need to ask about the schedules. That way, you don't miss out on the evening get-togethers.

Replenish Your Toiletries

If you're like most travelers, you know that hotels provide things like shampoo and soap. But, you might not know that they also offer things like toothbrushes, combs, and razers. Those items come in handy when you forget to pack them. Or, when your luggage gets lost.
